At World Wise Project, our mission is to expand access to travel opportunities that foster cultural understanding and cooperation, and produce global citizens.
Founded by two moms whose children attend a public language immersion school, the World Wise Project is a Portland-based non-profit that supports student fundraising and provides scholarships for student travel abroad.
For students attending schools with language immersion programs, travel provides opportunities to use language skills, broaden perspectives, and experience cultural exchange.
The World Wise Project awards need-based and merit-based scholarships to students participating in group travel abroad programs. In 2024–our inaugural year–we dispersed $4,000 to students participating in capstone language immersion trips.
